Birmingham New Street

As part of the transformation of Birmingham New Street into Grand Central, Berry Systems undertook key infrastructure works to enhance the car park facility.

We designed, manufactured, and installed a bespoke barrier system to exceed the client’s expectations.

Birmingham New Street station has long served as a major transport hub for the Midlands, with 13 platforms facilitating travel across the UK.

The recent redevelopment re branded it as Grand Central, a shopping and leisure destination featuring high street stores and luxury outlets.

Berry Systems was commissioned to provide off-highway barrier protection for the new car park facility. We developed a bespoke barrier system tailored to the client’s needs, incorporating our rigid posts and Berry Beam products.

This custom solution effectively addressed the split levels of the car park while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

To further enhance safety, we installed pedestrian handrails and mesh. The handrails provide support and accessibility for pedestrians, while the anti-climb mesh offers additional protection by preventing climbing and improving overall safety.

Bay ends were also included to complete the barrier system and ensure comprehensive coverage.
