Westfield Shopping Centre, East London

Berry took on one of their largest ever projects in Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford, with over 7km of Berry Beam barrier installed onto impact absorbing spring steel buffers.

Every ramp in the two overground car parks has curved Berry Beam barriers to match the varying radius ramps. Parts of the barrier have chevron signs mounted directly onto them to warn drivers to be aware.

Cheshire Oaks, Chester

System 3 perimeter safety barriers were installed by Berry at the M&S car park in Cheshire Oaks designer outlet. The system uses tensioned steel rods and infill mesh panels to give the impact resistance to meet European standards, while also having no footprint in the car park.

The low deflection figures protect the other car park components, such as the eco-friendly plant-pods on the exterior, from damage. The barriers were installed around the perimeter of the upper deck, earning Best New Car Park in 2013 at the British Parking Awards.
