Berry Systems are regularly called upon to provide car parking solutions and safety systems for the public sector. Many hospitals are facing increasing numbers of patients and need suitably built car parks in order to cope with the increased demand for parking.

Berry also provides a number of safety measures for schools and education facilities such as protective barriers, pedestrian handrails and fencing.

Watts House Car Park, Brighton University

Berry Systems played a key role in this multi-storey car park project at Brighton University winning the Best New Car Park Award at the 2020 British Parking Awards.

We provided more than 830 unique pre-assembled frames containing three perforated panels each, as well as ground floor mesh panels, and installed handrails and balustrading to the stair cores, along with lighting boxes, height restrictors, galvanised edge bars and flashings surrounding doors and windows.

Derriford Hospital, Plymouth

This new 627-space multi-storey car park at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth features green walls with climbing plants on the two lowest levels, steel latticework on the next two, and timber latticework on levels 5 and 6.

We utilised our RB1X Spring Steel Buffers with Berry Beam rails, pedestrian handrail above the barrier on post extensions of 1100mm high and anti-climb mesh on spaces in between.
